Groups of ten

The primary unit took advantage of all the falling leaves to uncover a hands-on representation of grouping objects by tens.

Students explored the yard and began grouping leaves into bundles of ten. And more groups of ten. Then they discovered what happened when you beging counting by tens.

In the end the students collected 1,150 leaves!
